MBPOA Marinas
Our members enjoy their marina privileges from May-October. Our thriving community enjoys unbelievable fishing and recreational boating. As members it is our duty to maintain the marinas and private docks along our beautiful waterfront. Our members have a unique situation—all the amenities and social aspects of a private marina, without the astronomical prices!
Marina Information
We have two beautiful Marinas. Marina 1 and Marina 5. Named after the original Mastic Beach sections, these jewels in our crown are a hotbed of social activity and give our community a real sense of neighborhood.
The stick docks along the waterfront hark back to a simpler time when "sitting on the dock by the bay" was the thing to do all summer long.

CATEGORY E: Member - Marina Docking Facilities
Includes: One boat sticker (May 15-October 15, 2012)
Category A or B (see membership form) must be completed. A copy of your NYS boat registration & Mastic Beach Property tax bill is required.
Boats 20 feet and under: $700
Boats over 20 feet: $35 per foot
CATEGORY F: Member - Private dock facilities
Includes: One boat sticker. (May 15-October 15, 2012)
Category A or B (see membership form) must be completed. A copy of your NYS boat registration & Mastic Beach Property Tax Bill is required.
$75.00 per side of dock ($150.00 for two boats)
NOTE: Private dock renters must maintain the dock assigned to you, as per NYS DEC regulations. You are entitled to launch your boat once and pull it out of the water once per season at no charge.
CATEGORY G: Member - Boat Trailer
Includes: A boat and trailer sticker. (May 15-October 15, 2012)
Category A or B (see membership form) must be completed. A copy of your NYS boat registration is required. You may launch your boat and you may pull it out as many times as your wish.

CATEGORY H: Associate Member - Marina Docking Facilities

Boats over 20 feet: $35 per foot
CATEGORY I: Associate Member - Private Dock

$75.00 per side of dock ($150.00 for two boats)
Surcharge for associate members - $100.00
NOTE: Private dock renters must maintain the dock assigned to you, as per NYS DEC regulations. If the dock is not maintained the DEC may order it removed. If it is removed, you may not re-build. You are entitled to launch your boat once and pull it out of the water once per season at no charge.
CATEGORY J: Associate Member - Boat Trailer
Includes: A boat and trailer sticker. (May 15-October 15, 2012)
Category C or D must be completed. (see membership form) A copy of your NYS boat registration is required. You may launch your boat and you may pull it out as many times as you wish.

Marina Rules
1. Any and all MBPOA facilities are for use at member’s or guest’s own risk.
2. Car, boat, and trailer stickers shall be clearly visible and permanently attached to each car, boat, Jet Ski, or trailer. Stickers are not transferable. Failure to comply will void your annual contract, and use of MBPOA facilities will be terminated. Replacement stickers can be purchased for a fee of $5.00 each.
3. Bulkhead slips and private docks are not transferable. If you change boat registration you must notify the MBPOA immediately. The MBPOA reserves the right to reassign your boat to a slip of matching proportions. Every application must include a copy of a current NY State boat registration and a copy of their tax bill as proof of Mastic Beach property ownership. Boats occupying bulkhead slips or private docks, or using MBPOA ramp sticker must be registered in the same name as the person renting the slip or dock, or to whom the ramp sticker has been issued.
4. All slips held without a boat may be used by the MBPOA for transient dockage.All fees collected as compensation for this transient dockage will go to the MBPOA.
5. Boats shall be launched at either of the 2 ramps provided by the MBPOA only. Marina slip and private dock renters are permitted 1 launch and 1 haul, per season, at no charge. Ramp sticker users have unlimited use for the season. All others will be charged $15.00 per use. If you are paying for each launch, please display your trailer fee receipt on you car dashboard after launching your watercraft. Always insist on getting a receipt for each paid launch from a security guard. Violators will be towed.
6. Summer berthing begins on or about May 15th and ends on October 15th. Water and security services end on October 15th. Lights will stay on until October 30th for security purposes. All hardware; ladders, pulleys, padding, etc. must be removed from bulkheads and poles by the slip renter by October 15th or the renter will be charged $25 the next season. Any boat left in the water after October 15th will result in the forfeit of slip or private dock privileges the following year. Boats docked at any MBPOA facility shall not be used as living quarters. Electrical services are for courtesy use only. Personal extension cords must not be plugged in and left unattended.
7. The MBPOA shall not be liable for the safe keeping of any boat, motor, equipment, or property. The MBPOA shall also not be held liable for any damage resulting from fire, theft, vandalism, collision, or the elements. Any damage of dock facilities will be charged to the responsible parties.
8. Boat owners are responsible for their wake while underway on all waters controlled by the MBPOA. The speed limit is 5 mph.
9. If there is any disorder, nuisance, or non-compliance with these regulations, or if a member aids in a non-compliance of these regulations, then the MBPOA, by a vote of the Board of Directors, may direct the offending member to vacate the facility. Such member shall lose their dock rights for a period to be determined by the Board of Directors.
10. All applications must be submitted with copies of a NY State boat registration and a Mastic Beach property tax bill (for owners of property in Mastic Beach). Payment must be made before February 1, 2012.
11. Mastic Beach property owners will receive the first available slips or private docks. All who do not own property in Mastic Beach will be required to pay an additional surcharge of $100 to rent a slip or private dock.
12. Stick dock renters (regardless of dock location) must read and comply with the enclosed “Special Conditions for Existing Stick Docks on Pattersquash Creek” document, provided by the N.Y.S. Department of Environmental Conservation. Non-compliance will result in loss of private dock and fines issued to the renter by the N.Y.S.D.E.C. In addition, the stick dock renter expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the MBPOA, its representatives, employees, agents, and assigns for all claims, suits, actions, damages, and costs of every name and description, arising out of or resulting from the renter’s undertaking of activities or operation and maintenance of the dock and area surrounding the dock in compliance or non-compliance with the conditions of the permit for that dock.
13. Wooden ladders are no longer permitted on bulkheads. Aluminum ladders may be purchased at a marine products store, or at the MBPOA Marina 1 guard booth.
14. All ladders, lines, rugs, etc. must be removed from the poles and bulkhead at the end of the season or a $25 surcharge will be added.
15. Boat trailer parking for Marina 1 is on the north side of the ramp on the paved area.
16. Dock masters and Security Guards have the authority to enforce the rules of the MBPOA.

• AS OF MAY 15TH, BOAT & TRAILER STICKERS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT MARINA 1 & MARINA 5 AT A COST OF $75. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE MEMBERSHIP.
